Roe vs Wade Overturned

“Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.” (Proverbs 14:23)

Today is a great day in the history of our nation. Six of the nine supreme court justices on the Supreme Court of our nation have voted to remove one of the biggest clouds of reproach on this nation. While the overturning of Roe vs Wade does not ban abortions nationwide it is a vital element to empowering the individual states to ban abortions in its borders.

This is a day that God-fearing people in this nation have been waiting on for decades. Abortion is murder, and the killing of innocent babies has left blood on the hands of our communities. It is time now to continue to push all the way through and continue our prayers that the great state of Nebraska will do the right thing and ban the practice of abortion. In doing so we can remove one of the clouds of reproach that hang over this community in the eyes of our God.

I challenge you to watch the reaction of our elected officials. How they respond to this news will speak volumes about their moral compass and fear of the Lord. What are our local politicians saying about the overturning of Roe vs Wade and the potential banning of abortion in Nebraska?

“Reproductive justice is on the minds of many women here in Nebraska today. The trigger bill that will ultimately follow will cause Nebraskans to live in a police state.” - Carol Blood (Democratic Nominee for Governor)

“I have always supported pro-life policies that show compassion for women and their unborn children. Both conservative and liberal legal scholars have long questioned the legal reasoning in Roe v. Wade.” (Senator Deb Fischer)

“The majority of Nebraskans believe abortion must remain legal and that women must have the right to make their own health decisions. Republicans from Don Bacon, to Mike Flood, Adrian Smith and Jim Pillen are putting women’s lives at-risk for their callous political agenda. We can block the ban at the ballot box by voting for our strong Democratic candidates.” (Jane Klebb - Nebraska Democratic Chair)

“Today the U.S. Supreme Court made an unconscionable decision to overturn Roe v. Wade” (Patty Pansing Brooks - Democratic Nominee to Congress)

“Nebraska is a pro-life state because our citizens understand that life is the most precious gift of God's grace.” (Jim Pillen - Republican Nominee for Governor)

Dear Christian, take note of your legislators who would put themselves directly against an Almighty God on this most critical issue and thank God for those willing to speak up and stand for righteousness. This is what will exalt our nation! Who will you support?
